Aaron Jacob Raybuck, 35, originally from Butler, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. He was born on February 14, 1989, a Valentine’s Day gift and first-born son of Ken and Karen (Sawyer) Raybuck of Butler, PA.
He grew up attending Penn Christian, Butler Schools, and graduated with multiple honors from Art School at The Douglas Educational Center in 2015.
Aaron enjoyed the annual family vacation to Wildwood at the Jersey Shore with his family and spending time on the boardwalk and beach with his cousins. He built a doghouse for his dog, Dippy, who of course, never wanted to go inside it and would rather stay in Aaron’s room, nestled in bed with him on many mornings.
Aaron’s artistic talents blossomed through his passion for painting, showcasing, and selling his original works in Asheville, North Carolina, where he made his home for the last seven years. His early years in North Carolina were marked by creativity and fulfillment as he immersed himself in painting and outdoor festivals, sharing his artistry with the world. Aaron had a tender heart and loved animals, especially his rescue cat, Cushion. A life cut short due to his struggles with substance abuse, his long fight ended before he could get to where he always wanted to be in this world… free of pain.
In addition to his parents, Aaron is survived by his brother, Benjamin Raybuck; friend, Nikita Ahuja; maternal grandmother, Martha Harris; his aunts and uncles: Robert (Greta) Sawyer, Janet (Jack) McBride, and Bill Sawyer. He is also survived by his cousins: Claire Sawyer, Sean McBride, Sarah (Josue) Cantu, Jason Raybuck, and Ashley Wilson. Preceding him in passing were his grandparents: Thomas Sawyer, Ellen (Wilbert) Raybuck and his uncle, Donald Raybuck.
