Linda Lockwood Weaver

Linda Lockwood Weaver of Brookville died on Monday, February 16, 2026. She was born on May 18, 1946, in Brookville to the late Edgar and Leona (Lindemuth) Lockwood. She graduated from Brookville Area High School with the Class of 1964. After a semester at Robert Morris Jr. College. She took a job at Brockway Glass Company then later at Dennison & Mason law firm in Brookville. On June 1, 1968, she married William “Bill” Weaver and they moved to Pittsburgh where she worked for Kirkpatrick, Lockhart, Johnson and Hutchinson law firm. Next was two years at Fort Sill, Oklahoma before moving back to Brookville to start the Brookville Dental practice. She was helpmate to the practice and later to Ridgewood Farm. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Matthew (Kris Dunlap) of Lewisberry, PA and Zachary (April Masters) of Brookville and a brother, Robert Lockwood, of Hazen, PA, and her “crown of glory”, four grandchildren, Owen, Ella, Shaylin, and Hank, as well as sixteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Judy (Carl) Dusch and Kay (Keith) Moore; and a brother, Harold (Helen Shaffer) Lockwood. Linda was a member of Brookville First Methodist Church. She served on the Children and Youth Services Advisory Board and as den mother for two Cub Scout packs. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, canning, reading, gardening and mowing 11 acres on her John Deere. Memorial donations may be made to Brookville First Methodist Church or the Rebecca M. Arthurs Memorial Library. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825, and condolences may be left at www.dargyfh.com. Visitation will be at the Brookville First Methodist Church, 205 Jefferson Street, Brookville, PA 15825, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 5pm – 8pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, February 20, 2026, also at the Brookville First Methodist Church beginning at 11am and officiated by Pastor Joe Short. There will be a private interment at Temple Cemetery in Hazen.
